You don’t talk to the sun and the moon? I talk to them every day

This is Kendall Street Company’s first club show ever in West Virginia. The homies at the shop treated the boys to a good time. Indulged on frozen mozzarella sticks and loose shopping carts galore, this sure is one rowdy set!

Very cool “Becca’s Dad” intro. Slow, steady, funky. Sick version overall.

Slow Marty to get the feeling just right. Extended scat section. Sax solo extends into a mini guitar solo thing. Pretty cool. Transition to “Sojourn of Arjuna.” Ben and Jake trade licks. Descent into madness. Terrifying. Ben plays an “expiration date” knock off lick. Back to sojourn. Marty lick over a heavy metal riff.

“Bird Song” gets all noodly and stuff. Enjoyable jam. Definitely some Allman “Blue Sky” inspired licks. Band experiments with some triplets for a sec.

Shanti blew it all on a tale. And a whale?? That’s a new one @brian. Another noodly one for the boys keeping score back home

“Lunar Dude” comes right out of “Innerstate” and it’s a top tier version. Louis channels his inner Lil Jon in the break. Ben teases Santana’s “Evil Ways” for a sec. Jam gets dark and out there. Jake gets nasty on the synthesizer. Louis plays some fun rhythmic lines and Brian lays down an ostinato. Top it off with some sick drum Ryan drum fills. And then some metal. Back to refrain.

Extended “Space for Days” intro with “Johnny B Good” “Bird Song” “Seem Serene” and “I Feel Fine” teases. Type II territory right from the getgo. the actual song emerges eventually. Ben and Jake touch tips for a bit. Brian takes lead on a classical sounding riff. More type II. Dimented riff. Segway to Sublime’s “Garden Grove.” More psychedelic grooving. Louis ends a capella.

“Tightrope” rocks per usual. This version features a major swell at the end that leads to an improvised, triumphant,  eno-esque ambient progression.

Cars troll is “Country Roads.” When in Rome.  Encore with a country Hot tub!
